We Are Selling Our Personal Home. Check Out Why We’ve Loved It

Our 2,690 square foot home features 4 large bedrooms, a spacious den (that accommodates two desks), 3 full bathrooms and a huge and incredibly private lanai with pool and spa. For all of the photos, see the full MLS listing.

The home is located in the Black Bear Ridge neighborhood in North Naples. It is a gated (2 gates actually) neighborhood of just 100 homes. The neighborhood has a mile of sidewalks, a clubhouse, great fitness center and a pool.

Those are the basics. Now let's talk about the great features and benefits that we have loved.

Inside of 7327 Acorn Way in Black Bear Ridge

Pulling up to see the home, you're going to immediately notice how great the landscaping is, not just at our home but in the entire community. The paver driveway has a paver walkway up to the front door. As the front door opens, you'll see a huge and open space for your living and dining rooms and a view out of the sliders to the pool and spa. The split floor plan has the master suite to the left and the two guest bedrooms to the right. There's a third guest bedroom tucked away in the back corner (more on that later!).

The Kitchen and Family Room

The kitchen

The kitchen and family room are in their own area and I love that I can cook while seeing my kids in the living room. We just purchased a brand new LG refrigerator to match the newer dishwasher. There is a lot of storage space in the many cabinets and island. There's a walk-in pantry in the corner as well. I love the functionality of this kitchen because I have so much space around the oven to prep and gather ingredients. With the TV on the family room wall, I'll cook and listen to Spotify or chat up the kids while they relax. It's really a great layout!

We wall-mounted our 85" TV in the family room and put our L-shaped sofa on an area rug making it a really cozy place to enjoy a movie or some family time.

“We designed this kitchen to be the heart of our home. We spent countless nights cooking, laughing, and talking here.”

The Master Suite

The master suite is secluded on its own side of the home which I absolutely love. With two boys, things can get a little noisy from time to time. With the distance between the living area and the master bedroom, you can get away from the commotion if needed. There are double French doors that open to the screened lanai and pool which I have always loved. It's great waking up on the weekends and hopping into the pool right away.

There is a hallway to the master bath and separate his and hers closets with built-in organization. The master bath keeps your vanities separate too with one on each side of the room. There's a huge soaking tub (I'm 6'2" and can fit comfortably in it) as well as a glass-enclosed shower with an awesome shower head and plenty of water pressure!

The Guest Suite in the Back

All three guest bedrooms are large and easily fit king-sized beds and furniture. However, I really want to tell you about the back bedroom because that's a phenomenal feature if you're someone that has guests or perhaps an older child that wants their privacy.

Off of the living room is an arched entryway that leads to a short hallway. There's a door to the lanai, a full bathroom with glass-enclosed shower, and a large bedroom to the right. It's really its own guest suite and extremely private. We were going to use it as a guest bedroom for our in-laws and it would have been perfect for that but our older son immediately claimed it as his own!

The Minor Details

There is a separate laundry room with a utility tub, a formal dining room and living room, and a 2 car garage with very high ceilings. One thing to note is that we have a dining room table that seats 14 people comfortably and it fits great in the dining room. There's also a beautiful light fixture above it that my wife wanted to keep and I talked her out of. Don't bring it up—it's a sore subject at the moment.

Would you like to schedule a private showing of this property?

Let's talk about what the buying process would look like for this property.

Outside of 7327 Acorn Way in Black Bear Ridge

Look... there's a sign as you walk out to the lanai that says, "Clothing Optional Beyond This Point." We're not judging. It is the Sunshine State after all. Anyway, I bring that up to highlight how private this lanai is. There are enormous clusia plants on both sides of the lanai and you can't see through. There's nobody or any other homes at all behind this house so you have complete privacy on all sides.

The pool is beautiful and there's a spa that is raised up in the corner. I love how you can turn the pool or spa on from your phone from anywhere in the world. We will frequently be out to eat or with friends and decide to heat up the hot tub. In under an hour, it hits 104 degrees.

The lanai is humongous. It wraps around the back of the pool which allows you to have a shaded area and a sunny area. We took advantage of that by putting chaise lounges in the shaded area with a TV mounted to the wall and then Adirondack chairs in the sun around back.

I really want you to stop and think about how great this is. For most of the year, the temperature is great at night. My wife and I love heading out to the lanai at night, sitting on the chaise lounges and taking in a movie or whatever show we're binge watching at the moment (she's out there with Grey's Anatomy right now). It really couldn't be more relaxing. Also, I have a smoker (ask me about my pulled pork) and it's great that I can cook without the smoke getting anywhere near guests or our family in the pool or spa area. The lanai is just that big!

Here Are the Highlights

If you have a short attention span, this section is for you:

  • Two A/C systems. One cools just the master suite and the other cools the remainder of the house.

  • Large backyard with preserve views. You'll love watching the deer and certainly the privacy.

  • We're only 4 houses in from the gate and diagonal from the clubhouse for extra parking or to use the fitness center.

  • Excellent craftsmanship in this build and crown molding just about everywhere.

  • Walk to lots of restaurants, bars, banks and even a grocery store.

  • Brand new LG refrigerator and LG dishwasher. GE washer/dryer, GE convection oven, GE convection microwave.

  • Updated light fixtures all over the place.

  • Under-cabinet kitchen lighting and walk-in pantry

  • 8' doors throughout

  • Epoxy garage floor

  • Tall garage ceilings. We didn't need to but you could easily install hanging storage.

  • 4 exits to the lanai! Get outside from the master suite, formal dining area, living room, or guest suite.

  • Paver driveway, walkway and lanai.

Here are some of the things we loved about the community of Black Bear Ridge.

  • Low HOA fees that include cable, internet, landscaping and amenities

  • Exactly 1 mile of sidewalks

  • Pristine landscaping

  • Proximity to two shopping centers

  • Two gated entrances for easy access to Vanderbilt Beach Road or Collier Blvd (951)

  • Favorable pet policy - no weight limits on your dogs.

  • Fishing permitted behind the clubhouse

That Went a Little Long

Sorry about that. I'm passionate about this house and for good reason. We instantly fell in love with it when we toured it. My wife and I left the house and I think we decided to make an offer before we were out of the driveway!

We felt the layout was perfect and we couldn't get over how great the lanai and outside space was. I do most of the cooking in our household so I noticed how great the kitchen is set up. We knew our kids would love the big bedrooms and we agreed that it's the perfect house for us since my in-laws love to come down from New Jersey and stay a few days. They keep clothes and toiletries here in the closet and just fly with a backpack!

Finally, I took note of the quality of the home compared to what I see touring homes from other builders. The craftsmanship is really good and the small details really show that it is a luxury home.

If you're in the market for a 4+Den in a great neighborhood, I really want you to tour this one. I'm sure you will see the same great features and benefits that my wife and I saw.

If you'd like to schedule a private tour, please feel free to give me a call at (239) 248-8171 or you can email me at chris@listingnaples.com. We'd love to show you around!
