A Unit Owner may keep one dog, not to exceed thirty-five (35) pounds, or one cat, in the Unit Owner’s Unit, provided they are not kept, bred, or maintained for commercial purposes in their units. Notwithstanding the foregoing, pets in Units shall be explicitly subject to the covenants, conditions, restrictions, bylaws, rules and regulations La Peninsula. In the event that any pet on the Condominium Property should constitute a nuisance in the opinion of the Board of Directors, then the Unit Owner, when so notified in writing, shall be required to immediately rectify the situation. A Unit owner aggrieved by an action of the Board may appeal such action to the membership of the Association at the annual meeting or at a special meeting called for such purpose. It is the express obligation of a Unit Owner owning a pet to clean any mess caused by its pet. Each Unit Owner shall be financially responsible for any damage caused by any pet maintained within the Unit Owner’s Unit. In no case shall a Renter, the guest of a Renter, or the guest of an Owner be permitted to have a pet on the Condominium Property.

All prospective leases for the rental of a Unit must be submitted to the Board for approval at least ten days in advance of the commencement of any tenancy. No Unit may be leased more than three (3) times per calendar year. No lease may be for a duration of less than thirty days. Unit Owners must provide prospective tenants with a copy of these Rules and Regulations prior to commencement of any tenancy. Renters, other than long-term tenants of Twin Dolphins’ apartment, are explicitly prohibited from renting the boat or Guest Suite.
