Pets No owner or tenant is permitted to keep a pet, either permanently or temporarily, without prior written permission from the Board specifically for that pet. Pet Application Forms may be obtained from the Management Company. Owners and tenants must update pet vaccination records with the Management Company yearly.

Only common domestic pets, such as cats and dogs, are allowed. Only two pets in total are allowed per home. Breeds of dogs known for viciousness or ill-temper are not allowed including but not limited to: Rottweiler, German Shepard, Pit Bull, and the Staffordshire Terrier.

Trained seeing-eye dogs and other service animals will be permitted for those persons holding certificates of blindness and necessity if such animals serve as physical aides and have been trained and certified accordingly.

Pets must be temporarily caged, carried or kept on a leash when outside of a home. No pet will be kept tied outside a home or on a lanai unless a person is home.

Dogs should be exercised away from landscaped areas to avoid damage to plants and shrubbery. All solid waste deposited by a pet must immediately be removed and disposed of properly.

Owners must control their pets' activities so that they do not become an annoyance. This includes controlling barking of dogs.

Alden Woods is a residential property, not intended to be used as a hotel, an "Air B&B" or a timeshare. Units may be rented not more than three (3) times per year, and each rental must be for a period of NOT less than one month (30) days. If you choose to rent your unit, please understand that a copy of the lease must be provided to the Management Company prior to commencement of the lease. If applicable, a pet request application must also be submitted.

Maintenance of the premises is essential if property values are to be preserved. Owners are responsible for the observation of all rules by their tenants and the Owner is responsible for providing a copy of the Governing Documents and this Alden Woods Handbook document to their tenants and/or guests.
