My Favorite Task as a REALTOR®

Chris Farrugia, Naples, FL Real Estate Agent

Being a REALTOR® in Southwest Florida is an extremely rewarding job. There are some great challenges along the way and it’s really great to sit down at a closing table with customers, watch them sign, and know that they reached their goal. I can’t see myself doing any other job.

There are so many tasks that occur between the inital call from a new customer and then seeing that customer’s home sold or a new home purchased. However, I realized this week that I do have a habitual item that could not be more rewarding and one that I take extremely seriously. After every transaction, I thank my customer for their trust and I value that moment more than any other.

As a REALTOR®, I ask a lot from those that I work for. At the listing appointment or inital meeting with a buyer, I am asking that person to work with me–or put another way, I’m asking them to not work with the other 8,284 agents on our board (as of June 28, 2024). I’m asking these customers to allow me to sell or help purchase what is likely their largest financial transaction of their lives. I’m asking them to accept my professional opinion on pricing and my personal beliefs on where the market is headed. I’m asking them to believe that I will do what I say I will do. Finally, I’m asking them to be contractually linked to me for the duration of the transaction.

I am asking my customers for their trust.

This is a huge ask when I first meet someone! That’s exactly why my favorite task in this business is to give a sincere thank you to my customers for their trust at the end of their transaction. They could have picked anybody but they believed in me, the way I run my business and the process I have refined over the years to help them achieve their real estate goals.

If you are thinking of buying or selling real estate in Southwest Florida, I would love to meet you and earn your trust. Even if you’re not ready today, I’m happy to have a conversation over a cup of coffee, lunch, or even a Zoom call to set the stage for when you are ready. Please get in touch.

Thank you all!
