The Family Room
The location of the family room is perfect as it sits right next to the sliders for the lanai and swimming pool. The owners had a custom built-in constructed with an electric fireplace and lighting. There’s one subtle feature that I love. Most of the time, owners have built-ins constructed that have a cubby for the television to go in and that’s a horrible idea! It completely restricts the size of your television to whatever will fit in that spot. This built-in has the mount for the television where just about any size television can be used! Another great feature here is the electrical outlets in the floor. It’s a great touch as it allows you to configure your furniture in so many ways since you’re not tied to using specific wall outlets.
The Lanai, the Swimming Pool and Your Privacy
The pool has a solar heater and features two fountains that are visible from inside the house. It’s really a fantastic view. The left side of the pool has a sun shelf which is a great place to relax and cool off.
The lanai itself is massive. There’s a very large section that’s under a roof (with ceiling fans) allowing you to grill and have outdoor dining/seating in the shade. If you’re looking to catch some rays, you can do that too as there’s ample room around the pool.
If you’re like me, you appreciate having privacy when you’re in the pool. That’s what you have here with massive plants creating a beautiful privacy screen between you and the neighbors. I’m not saying to ditch the swimsuit but that’s completely up to you!
Finally, and maybe the biggest feature of the lanai, are the roll-down shutters that protect the back of the home. In the picture above, you’ll see that at the edge of the ceiling and spanning the entire width of the shaded area are the shutters. It will only take a matter of minutes to have this part of the home protected when the need arises.

Indigo Lakes is a very large community in North Naples and it can take quite a while to get to the homes in the back of the community. That’s not a concern here as the home is very close to the gated entrance.
